A beautiful set of five Kutani Ware porcelain plates from Seikou Kiln, featuring traditional blue-and-white decoration and some of the most celebrated styles in the history of Kutani ceramics.

Each plate is decorated with a classic underglaze blue (sometsuke) design. Around the inner border is an elegant Yoraku pattern (Yorakumon), an ornamental motif traditionally used on fine Japanese blue-and-white porcelain.

The set celebrates the rich artistic heritage of Kutani Ware through designs inspired by six important historical Kutani styles: Ko-Kutani, Yoshidaya, Mokubei, Eiraku, Iidaya and Shoza.

With five 14cm (5.5") plates included, this versatile set is ideal for serving appetizers, side dishes, sweets, desserts and small portions of Japanese cuisine. The plates also work beautifully as individual serving plates for everyday meals or entertaining guests.

Traditional Beauty of Kutani Ware

Kutani Ware (Kutani-yaki) is one of Japan's most renowned porcelain traditions, celebrated for its elaborate decoration, expressive designs and rich use of color.

While Kutani Ware is famous for its brilliant overglaze decoration, these plates offer a different expression of the tradition, combining elegant blue-and-white designs with motifs inspired by historic Kutani styles.

Their combination of traditional Japanese artistry and practical size makes them suitable for both everyday tableware and special occasions.

A Beautiful Japanese Gift

Featuring auspicious and traditional Japanese motifs, this five-piece Kutani Ware plate set makes a thoughtful gift for weddings, housewarmings, anniversaries, birthdays and other celebrations.

The set comes presented in a dedicated gift box, making it especially suitable for gift giving.

Colors may appear slightly different from the actual product depending on your monitor or screen settings.

As each piece is individually produced, slight variations in pattern, decoration, color and size are natural and make every piece subtly unique.
